The Irish College of English
International Youth Summer School
The school is organised every summer from June to August in Dublin and attracts students
from all over the world. It is a great opportunity for young people to improve their English.
Students stay with Irish host families within walking distance of the school facilities and
attend classes in the mornings. They also participate in afternoon activities, such as
listening to Scottish music, learning Irish dancing or visiting places of cultural interest.
Students are given a placement test on arrival and then are placed in a class appropriate to
their level of English. All students receive their own textbook and additional materials free
of charge. We have a maximum of 15 students per class, so students have an excellent
opportunity to speak and to receive individual attention from their teacher.
