RESTAURANT DAY
In the spring of 2011, a group of food-loving friends from Finland created a new movement. Its
aim was to celebrate food and restaurant culture for 24 hours on one day of the year.
They named it Restaurant Day.
The idea started when Antti Tuomola tried to open a restaurant in Helsinki. Strict regulations
